Poor post-op Jabba

Poor littly puppy has to wear an Elizabethan collar- i.e., those big plastic cone-shaped ones. It is so sad to see him try to pick something up with his mouth and just keep pawing and scratching at it because he can't get it through the collar. And of course he's got those sad little pug eyes that just make you feel so sorry for him. Even Paul has developed sympathy for him, which is saying a lot. He has to wear the collar for 7-10 days to prevent him from licking or chewing his incision. Poor little guy!!!

Everyone at the vet just LOVES him and were "ooh-ing" and "ahh-ing" over him when we came and as we left. When I got there to pick him up the lady who helped me said "Did you know you've got a hugger?" Apparently whenever anyone would pick him up he'd snuggle up on their shoulder and give them a "hug." So cute. No wonder everyone loves him!

He is supposed to be taking it easy for the next 7-10 days too, but that is easier said than done with him. He just wants to run around and jump up on the couch, etc. You'd never know the little guy was just operated on! He's in his kennel right now for some mommy-mandated rest.
