Last week (first week of Paul's spring break), we decided to get out of Dodge for a little while and take the kids somewhere fun. Within driving distance. Seeing as this is a pretty small area and we've done nearly everything within the immediate vicinity, we broadened our horizons and set out for upstate New York. There is a Six Flags there and they happen to have a huge indoor water park. It was super cheap for the five of us to stay there so we went for it. It was a HUGE hit with the kids. Once we got Ethan over his innate hatred of loud noises (all that water rushing about is pretty dang loud) and made him try the lazy river and other tube rides, he loosened up and had a blast. Sadie could have played on the water slide all day long. Bex was not too impressed by all this but was well-behaved nonetheless. The only hiccup was an episode of car sickness on the way there, but luckily our hotel room was just down the hall from the laundry room, so we were able to wash all of Sadie's car seat before we left. It was the perfect little weekend getaway!

Does this suit look familiar? It might be my favorite piece of clothing ever.
